July 2011 | HILTI is allowed to buy EUROFOX
The acquisition of Eurofox has been approved by competition authorities. Eurofox will be managed as an autonomous Hilti subsidiary. Tim Sauber has been appointed to general manager  He has been working with Hilti for seven years in several countries in the areas research, marketing and sales. The previous owner, Erwin Steiner, is going to retire from business.

May 2011 | Hilti plans purchase of Eurofox
The Hilti Corporation plans to buy Eurofox GmbH and has already signed corresponding agreements with the company’s owners. The acquisition must now be approved by competition authorities. Hilti’s goal is to further strengthen the Lanzenkirchen location in terms of product development, technical consulting and production. Together with the existing team Hilti wants to develop Eurofox to create a worldwide competence center for façade technology.
