| In which two systems are EUROFOX substructure systems divided? Vertical systems and horizontal systems. Which system is used depends on the cladding as well as the structural circumstances. Vertical systems, for example, are often used on brickwork or concrete masonry. Horizontal systems on the other hand are very often used on beam-and-column constructions. We will be pleased to advise you. Which brackets are mainly used for vertical systems? MACFOX brackets. It is possible to use them for horizontal systems with lightweight cladding elements, e.g. corrugated iron, trapezoidal sheet and law cladding zones. Which brackets are mainly used for horizontal systems? XFOX brackets. They are also used for vertical systems with heavy cladding elements, e.g. natural stone, bricks, etc. Due to the special geometry of the structural framework, high load-bearing capabilities at a small cross section are possible. What minimum and maximum cavity space to the exterior wall can be implemented with MACFOX and XFOX? MACFOX brackets are available in sizes 40, 60, 90, 120, 150, 180, 210 and 240 mm. From these dimensions result the maximum space to the exterior wall (incl. standard L- or T-profiles and ISOLATOR) of 47 287 mm. By using DISFOX brackets, even spaces of up to 347 mm can be compensated. XFOX brackets are available in sizes 70, 90, 120, 150 and 180 mm. From these dimensions result the maximum space to the exterior wall (incl. standard L- or T-profiles and ISOLATOR) of 77 227 mm. By using DISFOX brackets, even spaces of up to 287 mm can be compensated. Does the construction of the facade allow potential thermal expansions due to different material properties of cladding materials and aluminium of the EUROFOX systems? Yes, the connection of MACFOX brackets with the vertical profiles is implemented as fixed and flexible point and thus allows changes of length caused by temperature changes. Cladding materials are also installed by using of the fixed and flexible point system. This means that in the flexible points the borehole diameter in the cladding material is larger than the diameter of the fixing element. For further details, see the drawing series. What information does EUROFOX need to submit an offer? EUROFOX needs a completed checklist in order to submit an offer. (You will find the checklist in the download section) Furthermore, the elevation plans of the facade including panel spacing as well as vertical and horizontal sections. It would be of great help if the plans were submitted in electronic form (.dwg). Which joint solutions are recommended for hung ventilated facades? The variety of possibilities for joint design at hung ventilated facades is nearly unlimited. Which joint solution is chosen particularly depends on the cladding material and the EUROFOX system chosen. For example, in facades with large-format facade panels, the horizontal joints are very often open. However, the joints can also be baffled by different joint sheets. EUROFOX offers different joint profiles. We will be pleased to advise you in designing the joints. Furthermore, detailed solutions can be seen in our drawing series.
